Check out this shot of the State Historic Museum in Moscow! In some parts of the world Christmas is celebrated on January 6th and 7th due to the Eastern Orthodox church adhering to the Julian calendar. See if you’re seasonally savvy and answer this question about the celebration of Epiphany on January 6th.
Epiphany is a:
A) Celebration of when the three wise men (or Magi) visited baby Jesus
B) Time for get-togethers to clean up after festivities and put away Christmas decorations
C) Celebration of when John the Baptist baptized Jesus in the River Jordan
D) All of the Above
This photo captures the elegance and beauty of the grand dining hall at the Palacio Real de Madrid. A favourite holiday in Spain was the Feast of St. Stephen celebrated in the Western Church on December 26th, and the Eastern Church on December 27th. It commemorates St. Stephen, the first Christian martyr. The feast is especially popular in Catalonia, and includes food like Canelons stuffed with ground turkey or rooster left over from Christmas dinner.
